Get That Heat

from Gamma Wave by Fluid Minds

/

about

This track was literally put together less than a week before the Flashpoint Academy Studio sessions on 10.19.09. Live takes from this session ended up being used on the final version with very few overdubs recorded at Melody Sunrise Studio. What started as an improv jam, evolved into the first track of Gamma Wave.

The track was recorded by James Teitelbaum and his students at Flashpoint. James' studio work includes dozens of records recorded at Chicago Trax, Studio Chicago, Streeterville, CRC, Metropolis, and at his home studio. A digression into live sound has taken him all over the world with Ministry, Royal Crown Revue, Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band, Pigface, and 700 shows at Chicago's Park West Theater.

lyrics

GET THAT HEAT

Invade my mind, think about you all the time
From rise to bed, in the corners of my head
There you like to stay and I come up and waste the day
Everything I wanted to, I could never say

Hiding away, forget about the day
Calm my head, at the corner of my bed
Hop in the car and lets get away
All that she ever wanted to, she can always say

(Chorus)
And my feelings explode
And I get that heat from you

(Chorus)

One day I’ll blow you away
